Repair of the Gantry Crane at the Budapest Terminal

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you about the planned repair of the gantry crane at the METRANS Budapest–Csepel terminal, which will begin on Friday, 28 November 2025 at 12:00 and will last at least until Saturday afternoon, or possibly until Sunday.

Please anticipate delays especially on Friday, 28 November 2025, as it will not be possible to burden or unload trains under the cranes between 12:00 and 22:00. During the repair, the crane will besides be out of operation during the night hours, resulting in a simplification of the terminal’s handling capacity by about 25%.

During the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the remaining 3 cranes will operate continuously, which should let trains to be loaded and unloaded smoothly and without crucial constraints.
