Suspension of Train Operations in Hungary Due to dense Snowfall

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that due to extraordinary weather conditions – dense snowfall – an emergency situation has arisen on the railway network in Hungary.
Based on the information we have received from the Hungarian railway infrastructure manager (MÁV), in order to guarantee the safe operation of public passenger transport, the operation of freight trains has been temporarily suspended across the full railway network. This measurement has a direct impact on our trains to/from Hungary.

This measurement was adopted to increase transport safety and to prevent further operational complications.
The duration of the regulation will depend on further developments in weather conditions and on the restoration of full operational reliability of the railway network.
